Welcome to Your Second Shift
You already worked the first one.

You already worked the first one.
You raised the kids, or built the career, or did both at the same time while nobody was keeping score. You showed up early, stayed late, and kept the whole thing running — the household, the classroom, the office, the family calendar taped to the fridge. That was Shift One. It asked everything of you, and you gave it.
Now something has changed. The house is quieter. The commute feels different, or doesn't exist anymore. The title on your business card might be new, or might be retired altogether. People keep asking if you're "winding down."
You're not winding down. You're clocking in for the Second Shift.
